Privacy

This page describes how TRACE Strategies, LLC ("TRACE," "we," "us"), a North Carolina limited liability company, handles information collected through this website (tracestrategies.com). It is a practical summary for visitors and prospective clients. It is not legal advice; consult qualified counsel for your situation.

Where submissions go (simple version)

Workbook requests and discovery qualifier logs are sent through a third-party form processor, FormSubmit, to our mailbox at Connect@TraceStrategies.com. You will typically confirm that inbox with FormSubmit once. FormSubmit may also show you a dashboard when you sign in with that email at their site. We do not run a separate "TRACE database" on this marketing site beyond what our email and FormSubmit retain.

What we collect

If you use mailto links or your email client to contact us, your message and address are handled by your provider and ours. We receive what you send.

If you request the workbook, we ask for an email address so we can send a link. The form posts to FormSubmit. FormSubmit may log technical data consistent with their service (for example IP address or submission metadata) as described in their documentation.

If you use the discovery call qualifier, we collect your answers to the dropdown questions; you may optionally leave an email. Those answers (and optional email) are sent to the same mailbox via FormSubmit (including JSON logging for "workbook first" routing). If you are invited to schedule, Calendly collects scheduling information under Calendly's terms and privacy notice.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on the workbook form to reduce automated abuse. Cloudflare may process technical data needed to run that check, as described in Cloudflare's policies.

If optional analytics are enabled on the Site (for example Plausible or Google Analytics), those tools may process limited usage data (such as page views and events) as described in their respective notices. You can use browser controls and, where offered by those tools, opt-out mechanisms.

How we use information

Sale / sharing of personal information

We do not sell your personal information for money in the ordinary sense of "sell my data to advertisers." We use service providers (hosting, forms, email, security, analytics when enabled) who process data on our behalf subject to their agreements and policies.

U.S. state notices (California, Colorado, North Carolina)

Privacy laws change by state and business context. The following is a high-level notice for individuals in states that often ask for it; it does not list every possible right or exception.

California residents (CPRA): You may have rights to know, delete, and correct certain personal information, and to opt out of certain "selling" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, depending on TRACE's activities and exemptions that apply to small businesses or B2B contexts. To exercise rights, email Connect@TraceStrategies.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. We will verify your request as permitted by law. You may use an authorized agent where applicable.

Colorado residents (CPA): You may have rights similar to access, deletion, correction, and opt-out of certain processing, subject to exceptions. Contact us at the same email. Colorado law also allows appeal of certain denials; we will explain how if applicable.

North Carolina & other U.S. states: TRACE is organized in North Carolina with HQ referenced on the Site (Charlotte area). If your state provides consumer privacy rights, you may contact us and we will respond consistent with applicable law.

Retention

Retention depends on our mailbox, FormSubmit, and other providers. We do not use this marketing site to maintain a separate CRM beyond what email and those tools naturally retain.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a small business marketing site, but no method is 100% secure.

Third parties

Service providers may include hosting (for example Vercel), form delivery (FormSubmit), Cloudflare (Turnstile), scheduling (Calendly when used), optional analytics, and font delivery (Google Fonts). Their processing is governed by their terms and privacy notices.

Terms of use

General rules for using the Site are in our Terms of use.
